Tools & Experiments

Every software tool here was crafted to solve specific challenges in audio production, sound editing, AI orchestration, and system recording.

Audio Explorer & Search Engine

SoundVault

An intelligent sound explorer with project Vaults, curated Collections, and AI-powered Resonance sound matching.

Designed specifically for sound designers and audio editors to organize, curate, and retrieve audio assets instantly. Features two distinct operation modes: Sound Mode for deep library exploration and semantic search, and Vault Mode for curating project-focused collections. Includes Resonance (an intelligent sound recommendation engine that suggests matching assets based on collection signatures), Echo This (a complex spectral & semantic similarity filter), a built-in wave fade editor, and background spectral indexing.

  • Project Vaults & Collections
  • Resonance AI Recommendations
  • Echo This Spectral Search
  • Integrated Fade & Wave Editor
  • Multi-Level Indexing

AI Visual Programming

VibeGraph

An alternative node-based AI harness replacing linear chat with visual blueprint logic and structured graphs.

Linear chat windows can quickly obscure complex software architecture. VibeGraph provides a visual node-graph harness where developers construct targeted AI workflows — similar to Unreal Blueprints. Each node performs specific tasks (Intent, Plan, Build, Verify, Review, Decision, Document). Connect any LLM model via API, orchestrate subgraphs as macro nodes, and maintain strict control over project artifacts, state, and codebase structure.

  • Node Blueprint Engine
  • Multi-Model API Integration
  • Codebase Artifact Control
  • Subgraph Macro Nodes
  • Task-Specific Nodes

REAPER Workflow & Tagging

Marker Master

Streamlining REAPER marker organization with color-coded categories, bulk visibility toggling, and project presets.

Marker Master brings structure to chaotic marker timelines in REAPER. It enables sound designers to create, group, and color-code marker tags into distinct categories (Impacts, Foley, Ambience, Music, Magic). Users can toggle category visibility, solo or hide specific marker types in bulk, navigate quickly through markers, and seamlessly import/export tag presets across REAPER projects.

  • Category Tagging
  • Solo & Hide Categories
  • Custom Color Palettes
  • Project Preset Import
  • Instant Filtering

Video Transcoding & Performance Utility

REAPER Video Optimizer

A lightweight, hyper-optimized Windows desktop utility designed to convert videos to REAPER-friendly MOV format (MJPEG intra-frame + uncompressed 16-bit 48kHz PCM audio).

Eliminates timeline stutter, video decoding lag, freezing, and audio clicks/pops when scoring or editing audio to picture in REAPER. Converts any video format (MP4, MKV, AVI, etc.) into an optimized intra-frame container (.mov with MJPEG video and uncompressed 16-bit 48kHz PCM audio). Features an embedded standalone FFmpeg engine, sequential batch processing queue, customizable output paths, and a clean native dark interface.

  • REAPER Optimized (.mov MJPEG + PCM 48kHz)
  • Batch Processing Queue
  • Standalone & Portable (Embedded FFmpeg)
  • Customizable Output Path

Single-file portable build, hosted on GitHub Releases. Download, extract with 7-Zip or WinRAR, and run REAPER_Video_Optimizer.exe — no installation required.

Multitrack Audio Studio

A-Studio

A full multitrack DAW that runs 100% in the browser — import, edit, mix and export without your audio ever leaving your computer.

A-Studio is A-Lab's audio studio: a fullscreen multitrack timeline with drag-and-drop import, fades and automatic crossfades, razor cuts and multi-selection, volume automation, MIDI tracks with a floating piano roll and a built-in synthesizer, a real-time FX chain (EQ, compressor, reverb, delay, distortion), spectrogram analysis and WAV/MP3 export.

  • Multitrack Timeline
  • Fades & Crossfades
  • MIDI + Piano Roll + Synth
  • Real-Time FX Chain
  • 100% Local

Spatial Audio & Acoustic Simulation

A-Spatial Experiment

An interactive 3D spatial audio and acoustic ray tracing simulator — real-time HRTF panning, image-source reflections, Eyring RT60 reverb and wall occlusion physics.

Built with Three.js and the Web Audio API: place sound sources and walk through a virtual scene while hearing true spatialization — HRTF-based panning, reflections computed with the image source method, reverberation modeled with Eyring RT60, and acoustic occlusion from wall geometry, all in real time.

  • Real-Time HRTF Panning
  • Image-Source Reflections
  • Eyring RT60 Reverb
  • Wall Occlusion Physics

Real-Time System Audio

Sister Audio

Capture system audio directly in REAPER with a real-time rolling sampler, bypassing Windows audio driver issues.

Recording system audio, web playback, or game output on Windows often suffers from driver conflicts, WASAPI loopback issues, or virtual cable latency. Sister Audio runs directly inside REAPER, utilizing a real-time rolling audio sampler buffer to continuously capture system output and bounce it into your project timeline with zero latency and zero driver headaches.

  • Instant System Audio Capture
  • Real-Time Rolling Buffer
  • Driver Conflict Bypass
  • Zero-Latency Bounce

Experiment · Room Acoustics

A-Space — Rooms & Portals Lab

A small acoustics sandbox: move a listener through a maze of rooms and hear how sound reaches you through doorways and walls.

Pick a scene preset (Dungeon Hall, Cathedral Vault, Control Studio, Anechoic Chamber), place emitters with different polar patterns and set how absorbent each wall material is. The engine traces the path through doorway portals, applies wall occlusion and diffraction, and shows distance, level, occlusion, RT60 and C50 clarity live. The interface labels are currently in Spanish.

  • Scene presets, from dungeon to anechoic
  • Omni, cardioid & figure-8 emitters
  • Occlusion & doorway diffraction
  • Live RT60 & C50 readouts
  • HRTF binaural or stereo panning

Experiment · Procedural Ambience

Glade

A cozy 3D diorama builder whose ambience is synthesized live from the scene you build.

Sculpt terrain, lay paths and water, place walls, buildings, fences, trees and flowers, then change the season, weather and time of day. There are no audio files: wind, rain, flowing water, birdsong by day, crickets at night and thunder in storms are all generated with the Web Audio API and follow what is happening in the scene.

  • Terrain, water, walls & buildings
  • Four seasons, rain & snow
  • Day–night cycle
  • Fully procedural ambient sound
  • Save & load scenes
